Class Descriptions

The 3 year old programs

The focus of the 3 year old programs is separation from parents, social interaction, sharing, taking turns, transitioning between activities, independence, following directions, small motor development, large motor development, beginning perceptual and conceptual development (letters, numbers, shapes, colors, etc.), and language development. All classes are for children who love learning through play while having fun in a loving Christian environment.

Young 3's Program (T-Th AM or T-Th PM/M-W-F AM or M-W-F PM)
Our Tuesday-Thursday or Monday-Wednesday-Friday classes are designed for the younger child who turns 3 after September 1st, or who might benefit from a smaller class and a more intimate preschool experience. The Tuesday-Thursday schedule gently introduces preschool to your child, while the Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule invites familiarity and routine for your child to adjust quickly to preschool. The class generally accommodates only 8 children and follows the 3-year old curriculum in content and pace.

Main 3's Program (T-Th AM or T-Th PM; M-W-F AM or M-W-F PM)
These classes are for children who are 3 years old before September 1st. The Tuesday-Thursday schedule gently introduces preschool to your child. If your child is actively involved in outside sports, gymnastics, or playgroups - this is the class for you.  The 5-day span from Thursday to Tuesday allows for a longer weekend and extra curricular activities. The Monday-Wednesday-Friday patterned time schedule helps children adjust to preschool very quickly while allowing more time during the week for learning and fun!

The 4 year old programs

These programs continue the "learning by having fun" focus with more hands-on experience through perceptual and conceptual development, large and small motor skills, observation skills, and continued personal and social development, while preparing children for Kindergarten. These programs guide your child’s learning through exploration, discovery, art, and play. Activities include math, science, language arts, music, spiritual enrichment, and art. We offer many experiences that stimulate the children’s curiosity.

Young 4's ( M-W-F AM or M-T-Th AM)
The young 4's program is similar in curriculum, content, and pace with the main 4's class. The young 4's class offers a small classroom experience in a warm and inviting environment for children who are turning 4 between September and December.

Main 4's Program (M-W-F AM or M-W-F PM; T-W-Th AM or T-W-Th PM)
The (Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday) midweek class is ideal for children (and parents) who love a long weekend! This class is structured to have three consecutive days of preschool to form a continuity of learning and an opportunity for two or three day continuous projects. The alternating schedule (Monday-Wednesday-Friday) is designed for children who may enjoy alternating outside activities in the middle of the week. These classes are for children turning 4 before September 1st.

The Pre-Kindergarten Programs

5-Day (M-F AM & PM); 4-Day (M-Th PM)
The Pre-Kindergarten classes are very popular, especially among those children turning 5 in the fall, but also for children who are in their last year of preschool before entering Kindergarten. The classes emphasize the creative process of learning through hands-on experience in science, math, and language arts. They play and experiment with actual objects, holding, touching, playing, comparing, drawing, cutting. The children will explore the world around them in many ways. These comprehensive Kindergarten readiness programs concentrate on whole child development.

The 4-Day Pre-Kindergarten Program (Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday PM)
This class will closely follow the 5-day Pre-Kindergarten class curriculum in content and pace within a smaller classroom setting. It allows additional time each week to introduce science, math, and language arts concepts before your child enters Kindergarten. The 4-day per week program provides an alternative to the 5-day program.

The 5-Day Pre-Kindergarten Program
(Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday-Friday
AM or PM)
This 5-day per week program prepares the child for a 5-day Kindergarten schedule. It also allows additional time each week for your child to experience science, math, and language arts, before entering Kindergarten.
